Our sole function is to receive information voluntarily submitted by homeowners and transmit it to licensed, independent insurance agents in our referral network.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

When you submit the quote request form, we collect:

• Phone number
• Property address and city
• Your current insurance situation (e.g., on Citizens, recently non-renewed)

We do not ask for your Social Security number, date of birth, driver's license number, financial account numbers, or any other information that would expose you to identity theft risk. We collect only what a licensed agent needs to evaluate your situation and prepare quotes.

With insurance agents in our network

When you submit a quote request, your name, contact information, property address, and insurance situation details are transmitted to one or more licensed, independent insurance agents who have agreed to participate in our referral network. These agents are independent businesses, not employees of Northshore Home Insurance. Once your information is transmitted to an agent, that agent's own privacy practices govern how they handle it. We encourage you to ask any agent directly about their privacy policy.

With service providers

We use a small number of third-party service providers to operate this website, including hosting infrastructure and email delivery. These providers access your information only to perform services on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using it for their own purposes.

For legal reasons

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or valid legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

We do not sell your information

In practice, this means we retain lead records for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of submission, consistent with Louisiana's general prescriptive periods.

IP address logs are retained for up to 12 months for fraud prevention and legal compliance purposes, and then purged.

6. Cookies and Tracking

This website uses a single session cookie for the agent portal login system. This cookie is not set for homeowners and is not used for advertising or tracking. We do not use persistent advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party analytics platforms that profile individual visitors.

Standard web server access logs (IP address, timestamp, pages visited) are retained for up to 90 days for debugging and security purposes.
